Romanian Design Week, organised by The Institute, is a multidisciplinary festival dedicated to the creative industries in Romania, promoting design, architecture, creativity, and innovation as tools for cultural, social, and economic growth. Established in 2013, the festival celebrates local creative communities, their adaptability, and their capacity for growth in an ever-changing reality.
Under the Romanian Design Week umbrella, exhibitions and events are organized with the aim of making design accessible to a wide audience. Every year, over 40,000 visitors take part in the events included in the RDW program.
The program also includes satellite events hosted by design studios, showrooms, creative hubs, and art galleries, all united under the umbrella of design.
